F.A.Q.
Why is the presence of MTA important in this product?
MTA cement (available since 1998) ensures perfect sealing through its setting expansion, low solubility for sealing integrity, and high biological regeneration via calcium ion release and antimicrobial action.
Does MTA-Fillapex replace MTA Reparative Cement?
No. MTA-Fillapex is an endodontic sealer, while MTA Reparative is used for perforations, root resorption, apical plugs, and pulp capping.
What is the working time?
23 minutes – allowing calm, precise root canal filling by both general practitioners and endodontists.
What is the setting time?
Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. Note: It sets only in contact with moisture.
Should it be used with gutta-percha points?
It can be used both with gutta-percha points and for fillings without them.
How radiopaque is it?
One of the most radiopaque sealers available.
Can it be used with thermal condensation?
Yes, provided the equipment temperature remains below 150°C.
Is it biocompatible?
Yes. The combination of MTA and salicylate resin guarantees high biocompatibility.
How is it removed from the canal?
Using the same techniques as other endodontic sealers.
Storage recommendations?
It is moisture-sensitive and should not be stored in a refrigerator.
How many cases per unit?
A 4g double syringe averages 15 cases; a 30g tube averages around 200 cases (tooth-dependent).
